Ultrasonic for Power Facials

Ask any skincare professional and they will tell you that exfoliation is one of the most effective treatments for addressing major skin problems.
Combined with a deep cleaning treatment this produces a perfect skin health facial.
Over time the skin’s natural ability to renew itself slows down, which means that dead skin cells don’t shed as quickly as they used to and instead sit on the skin’s surface.
This makes the skin and complexion appear dull and lacking a youthful glow.
As a result, this creates other problems such as adult acne and congestion, which can cause breakouts to appear because of dead skin cells clogging up the pores.
For healthy skin, the trick is therefore to combine exfoliation with a deep clean.
However, cleansing with the hands alone is often not quite enough to provide an effective enough deep clean.

What is Ultrasonic ?

How does it work ?
Ultrasonic uses a sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second to remove dirt from deep down.
So for example, when used in combination with a deep cleansing skincare product, deep ingrained dirt debris and oil are attracted out of the skin by the ultrasonic sound waves.
This means that by using ultrasonic which vibrates between 23,000 and 27,000 vibrations per second you can expect to receive a far superior cleanse than a manual facial.
Ultrasonic can be used to perform ultrasonic exfoliation. Using a specific exfoliating product to loosen up the dead skin cells ultrasonic exfoliation provides a powerful and effective exfoliation without any sensitivity. As an additional benefit the ultrasonic creates a deep infusion of hydration to the skin using the water element of the product which refreshes and hydrates the newer skin cells.
This means that the results of ultrasonic cleansing, exfoliating and nourishment are far more effective, beneficial, safer and longer lasting than a manual facial and other electrical technologies.

Advanced Exfoliation Facials

What other Professional Treatments are there ?
If it’s not recommended for you to have the sonic blade due to health contraindications (typically pregnancy, heart / pace makers & epilepsy), there are plenty of other treatments available that are similar to ultrasonic exfoliation, which may be suitable for you instead.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a non-chemical, non-invasive treatment.
There are 2 types of microdermabrasion:
- Crystal microdermabrasion – crystals are blasted at the skin and vacuumed up.
- Diamond tip microdermabrasion – a throwaway or reusable tip that spins and gently buffs the skin.
With both types of microdermabrasion, the buffing action or blasting of the crystals on the skin remove the dead skin cells to reveal a younger more healthier-looking skin.
Disadvantages to microdermabrasion
- Crystal microdermabrasion is not suitable for sensitive skin (especially Rosacea). Diamond tip microdermabrasion is an alternative that can be used lightly on some sensitive skin types.
- Crystal microdermabrasion can cause more redness, dilating and sometimes even break capillaries.
Chemical Peels
Chemical peels are one of the most popular professional skin care services today. Generally, they improve the skin quality, texture and colour.
Some skin peels however, can also produce severe side effects such as inflammation, discoloration and scarring for up to several months. Fortunately, this is not true of all skin peels.
